Each issue of Ideals celebrates the meanings and traditions of the Christmas and Easter holidays with uplifting poetry, thoughtful essays, full-color artwork, beautiful photos, and seasonal recipes. These annual issues have been sought out by readers since 1944, when Van B. Hooper’s popular employee newsletter became a magazine. Throughout the years, classic writers and artists have graced the pages of Ideals along with up-and-coming writers to fulfill Mr. Hooper’s vision of creating “a book of old-fashioned ideals, homey philosophy, poetry, music, inspiration, and art.
